How do I play the game?

You can find the full list of rules, including a video of Robert and I playing a few demo games at https://www.bettertopics.co.uk/pages/rules

Is it a one-time game, or can we keep playing?

The game is designed to be played on a weekly basis and be a great ‘excuse’ for spending quality time and starting meaningful conversations, every week -- which we highly recommend every couple should do.

Is it relevant for both new and old couples?

Yes. There are dozens of question cards in the deck, all asked in a way that make you and your partner think. In case you don’t like a specific card, you can pull it out of the deck without impacting the game at all.

Can the game be played between friends?

Yes, but you should be very close friends, as there are many questions with regards to the relationship itself. Also, there are a few more intimate questions, which can be removed if not appropriate.

Can it be played by more than 2 people?

The game is designed to be played by 2 people in a relationship. However, in case you have very good relationships with another person or couple, it should still work. The only difference would be that when one player asks a question, all others need to give their own answer. Similar to Cards Against Humanity.

How many cards are in the deck?

There are 101 cards in the standard deck.

How big are the cards?

They are the standard playing card size of 88x58mm. Like poker cards.

How big is the deck?

It’s almost exactly as big as a standard UNO deck, or 2.5 poker decks, as our cards are a bit thicker than most other playing cards.

Can I get extra custom cards?

Yes. You can order as many custom cards as you wish. Just please email us at diana@bettertopics.co.uk

Does it come in any other language?

At the moment, we only have cards in English. If we’ll have enough interest, we’ll translate the cards later.
